You may have noticed that I was absent from the blog and your email inbox last week. I hope you’ll forgive me, but I had a very cute reason for being unable to get my post done in time!

Baby Emma joined us about 2.5 weeks ago (Thankfully!! As I’m sure you could tell from the introductions of my last few posts, I was more than ready for her to make her arrival!). She was about 2.5 weeks early from her due date, and had a fast and furious entry into this world in the early morning hours. (You’ll get to hear all about that when I publish A Tale of Two Pregnancies – Emma, Part 2 in a few weeks). Regardless of her early and quick delivery, she’s as healthy as can be. We are super thankful for that and so happy to have her with us!

Now it’s just going to be a matter of me figuring out how to balance my new life with another child to watch after and take care of! It took about two weeks just to get through the whirlwind of the initial care, well wishes, readjustment, etc. And there are still kinks I’ll be working on (for instance, as I write this post, it’s my first day with both kids home without my husband here to help – and that’s been quite the adventure so far!). But we are surviving. And as all moms know, sometimes that’s all you can hope from for the day.
So while I continue to get caught back up and get back on my routine schedule of posting for you, here’s some adorable pictures to keep you happy in the meantime.

I can’t wait to see all the joy that Emma will bring to our lives, and I can’t wait to share all her adventures with you!
All the best,
Lesley
She is absolutely precious!!! And that picture with her and Matthew is priceless. Just gorgeous. Congratulations and I wish you and your lovely family all the best.
Thank you Ann! She’s a beautiful blessing, that’s for sure. In some ways it makes me sad that she’s my last baby, but I know our family is complete now with her here.
