This week’s post is short and early – I simply wanted to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day!
Becoming a mom was the most transforming event of my life. And I’ll be honest, I haven’t loved every moment of it. There are plenty of times that I miss the freedom and free time that I had before children (double that now that there are two of them!). And there are plenty of days where everyone’s patience and behavior are not what they should be (mine included!) and the stress level is high, especially now that we are together all the time due to COVID-19.

However, those moments are greatly overshadowed by the amazing times we have together. And these times don’t have to be anything momentous. It can be as simple as the outstretched hand of your toddler reaching out for support and reassurance. Or the “I love you and sweet dreams!” that you hear your son repeat back to you once he’s tucked into bed at night. Or just simply the smile that lights up their faces when they have your undivided attention.
Those are the moments that make being a mom as fabulous as it is. And to get those, I know that we sacrifice so much of ourselves – our sleep, our time, our freedom, the food off our plates, and at times our sanity!
So take this day to celebrate you and all the hard work you’ve done to create happiness for your family! I’m hoping your day is filled with joy and love.
All the best,
Lesley
