I know I mentioned in last week’s blog post that I’d be following up this week with some helpful tips for potty training your child – and that post is coming! I’m just delaying the release by one week since I had some exciting photos to share with you!
Last week was Halloween, and if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you’ve already seen my adorable children in their costumes. But in case you missed it, I wanted to share them here!

I think this is the first year that Matthew was really starting to understand trick-or-treating and what it meant to knock on each door. We still keep this small for him, but we frequent some very generous homes, so even a small night out turns into a big pile of candy! And he’s already talking about what he’s going to do for a costume next year!

Emma was very patient as we took her out with her brother. No candy for her this year, but next year she’ll get to join in on the fun (and hopefully not use her big brothers’ old costumes!). Now that we have the mandatory pumpkin costume out of the way, she’ll get to help pick her own next year.

In addition, we recently had some updated family photos taken! The last time we had a formal family picture taken was over 2 years ago. There’s been a lot of change during that time – everyone has gotten older, Emma has joined our family, and I’ve lost a ton of weight! It was time to capture some new memories together. I’m so pleased with how these turned out, and I hope you enjoy them too!

These photos will be used throughout social media and the blog to help keep the site fresh & updated, so I wanted you to see them first so you’d know you were still at the right place next time you check out the website, Instagram, or Facebook!
As always, have a fantastic week, and I’ll be back with more potty-training tips next time!
All the best,
Lesley
Oh my goodness! They are ADORABLE!!!! Carter was a fireman last year and was a bumble bee this year – too cute. Emilia was a lion – cutest little lion ever! I love the pumpkin costume. They are just so cute.
A bumble bee and a lion? I bet those were fantastic as well! I would love to see a picture sometime – feel free to send one to lesely@balancinglifeasamom.com. Perhaps I’ll use those ideas for next years costumes (though I bet Matthew would want to be the lion!).
